I would have to say that is not the reason, we filed with Turbo Tax and had the refund direct deposited. We also had the fee taken from our refund.

We just looked on turbo taxes website . This whole time we thought we were getting ours in this first batch Now we find out were not because we filed thru Turbo tax. I guess we had our filing fees taken out our money. We did have it direct deposited though. THIS STINKS.

Now I think we'll be getting it in the written check batch.

    For what it's worth....

I HAVEN'T filed Bankruptcy. I HAVE received my rebate deposit and the IRS tool DID work for me! I can't explain the problems people are having.

One thing I did notice is the IRS website link provided is a "secure" link (It starts with HTTPS://). If it doesn't work for you, maybe you should go to the IRS website and find the link in the normal way without being directed to it externally from this site.

In fact, I looked at the URL when I originally followed the link and got a bit of a scare because it didn't exactly look like an official URL. Given that you enter your SSN and some other personal information it would be a real bad way to fall victim to a phishing attempt and give out personal information.

I wonder how many others followed the link and provided the information without even thinking about the chance that it might be bogus?

I did find my way to the Rebate Status Tool in the normal way throught the IRS website and the URL is legitimate after all. But it was a bit of a scare for a few minutes until I did.

This is the tool that will supposedly give you the actual date to expect it. It worked for me.

Ok, now I totally don't understand, our last 2 digits are 09 and we filed early Jan, so where's ours?

I am trying to figure out how the IRS has come up with the way they are sending out the rebates, because from most of what I have read on here, we should have gotten our rebate already.

We went to the new calculator yesterday and checked on it and it said today and it was right. I'm kinda shocked myself.

We filed way early, middle of Jan, had it direct deposited. DH ss ends in 09 and it's not in the acct yet! Why!??!?!? I keep seeing people are getting theirs and we haven't yet. We got the letter and haven't filed BK yet, so I don't understand why it's not there!
