I filed electronically 2/23, with last 2 digits of 06.

I'm only the messenger. I have no idea what that statement really means. Here's another IRS quote from this new "tool":

Remember, in order to qualify for the Stimulus Payment, you
must have filed your 2007 tax return more than 6 weeks ago.

Below are the schedules for economic stimulus payments related to tax returns processed by April 15, 2008:

So maybe you had to file by March 15, 2008 to be processed by April 15, 2008. Who knows? I filed electronically on Apr 4, and I'm not listed yet, but my direct deposit isn't due until May 9. Who really expected a clear statement from the IRS?

So according to that schedule we should have our payment by tomorrow, so shouldn't it be showing up when I click the link posted?

Someone told me that they checked the link and they are getting theirs tomorrow. Their last 2 digits are 34.

Mine's not showing either but I didn't mail my tax return til April 14th I think

I tried this too, another thread had the same info. Mine keeps telling me I made a mistake, but I know I didn't. So since so many are having trouble seeing when thier will deposit and are getting the same message, I blame the IRS site, I don't this many people could be putting in the wrong info.

I am still getting "You may have made a mistake. Please verify your personal tax data" and "We are sorry, but we cannot provide the status of your Stimulus payment".

The information I am inputing is correct, we don't owe money, we filed in February and the last 2 digits is 06.

I prayed all day yesterday that I would not receive our stimulus. I had to wait till yesterday to file bk so that our bank account was less than $300. (per AZ exemptions) When I heard that the stimulus money was been sent out early, I about went into a panic. We have no assets but the court would have taken that extra money from us. Without the stimulus, we would be upside down this month. Poor kids need some clothes and shoes that fit. This is the first time in my life that I can say I was happy that I only had $35 in my account at the close of the banking day, lol.

I can totally relate to your story. We never have much in our acct and since we are waiting on our stimulus check our acct will be huge. Last time it was even close to being this high was when we got our tax check and that we gave to our attorney to file. We aren't filing for awhile because of the fear our checking acct would be too high. I am hoping to take the kids clothes shopping, buy a crap load of groceries, fill up the tanks on our cars and pay off a huge heating bills. Few other things, like maybe fix my muffler on my car, wanted a new water heater, but that isn't going to happen, won't have enough left to do that. Praying ours holds out awhile longer.
