341 Thursday

Hi, all just wanted to share my expeirence about my 341 meeting yesterday.
Here is a summary:
Husband took off work,got up early,got there on time
didn't know where to go,not prepared
watched educational video,filled out form
watch lawyers arrive 20-15 minutes before to meet their clients,go over things with them(so they can be prepared) nicely dressed and pressed suites.
oh yeah here comes my lawyer,5 minutes late,with sunglasses on(no sun outside)strolling in with a wrinkled suite(looked like he just woke up in it)
looks at us says oh hi like nothing is wrong,and then we all go in the meeting,unprepared,and upset
Good thing the meeting went well and fast
after siting there so upset thinking he was not going to show up,I didn't have time to be nervous and meeting was over in less than 5 minutes.
So don't be scared at the 341 meeting just make sure your lawyer shows up,or gets there on time,and maybe give him an iron too,lol

Great to hear your 341 went so well, mia! I can't imagine the two of you sitting there with no lawyer as the minutes ticked by....you must have been a nervous wreck! Glad your lawyer finally showed up, even if he was wrinkled!

I saw it happen many times at my 341's. Many lawyers come strolling in just before the meeting. The BK mill attorneys are there for the day. When the lawyer didn't show up, the trustee would put them at the end of the list and wait. If still no show, they would reschedule the 341 and not fault the debtor at all. Even apologize for the lawyer sometimes. So I am glad he showed up for you. The wrinkled suit, hmmmmm.

Yes we were nervous before he showed,but I guess we needed something to keep our mind s of of the meeting,but thanks it did go well,hopefully the worse is over,but more years ahead,it's good to have this forum for support.
