I have a question about a proof of claim

I filed chapter 13 5 years ago , one creditor did not file a proof of claim so my attorney did for them in good faith a week after the plan was confirmed. Then the creditor filed their own proof of claim more than 8 months after the plan was confirmed and their amount is $2600 more than the one my attorney filed.
I just found out today that they are still trying to collect that excess amount they included in their proof of claim , and that is perfectly fine for them to collect that after the bankruptcy is over. Is that correct?

    proof of claim

I am not a expert. But from my underatanding if a proof of claim was not filed in the alloted time for proof of claim, they can't come back now and try to collect on it.

Yeah, they are probably in violation of the discharge provision. You should probably speak to an attorney in your area.
