    employment and income records

    Hello,

I'm filing for Chpt 7 (in Oklahoma) and I'm compiling my gross income for the past 6 months.

in addition to my full-time day job, I've had a couple of part-time jobs. I filled out a W4 for each job, but I didn't keep any paystubs or records of my employment. I need documentation for the trustee of my employment period and total gross from these jobs.

how can I get this information? I called one of the employers and all they'll do is mail me a copy of my last check. is there some place online that I can get my own verification and documentation? what other options do I have?

    Thanks

Good question, keepmine. Metalhead, how did you file your tax return for 2006 without W2s?

The last paycheck stub from your one employer should have Year To Date amounts on it. Were you working at the part time job between January and now this year? How about last Nov and Dec (the start of the last six months)?

I don't know if this would work, but you could try contacting the IRS to see what they have on record that your employers reported to them for your part-time jobs. I wouldn't recommend sharing that you are filing, just that you've lost your paycheck stubs and are looking for ways to replace them.

I had these 3 part-time jobs in Jan, Feb, and Mar of this year, 2007. I wish I would have kept the damned pay stubs...I'm a knucklehead I just need some documentation.

I'll be retaining an attorney next week. I'm assuming he/she can assist me in getting the employment & gross income information for these jobs?

        thanks!

Hi metalhead, I'm in OK too. My husband just gets a handwritten check (with applicable taxes taken out of course) each pay period so he doesn't have any stubs either. He just had the owner/payroll lady (smallllllll company!) write out all of the deductions and pay info for the last 6 months. That was fine with my attorney. Haven't been to 341 yet, but what else can we do???
