Had started a thread about researching Ancestry, wha' hoppen to it? I saw your post about tracing your ancestry here in the General Talk section yesterday and that Granny had responded to it.

I just checked and the posts are not in the area of the forum where they would be if they had been deleted by a moderator. Now I'm wondering where these posts are also

When I tried to get on a few days ago I couldn't access the site all morning. I'm wondering if something happened to it then. I'm assuming I couldn't get on because the site was experiencing a glitch or two that morning.

ah well! Got back to 1635 so far! Stuck in Accomack VA with Jan Mattice aka John Tyson (his english name after leaving holland) aka descenants Tyson Chicken of Accomack VA. Turns out i am most definitely the gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-gr- grandson of a famous Virginia Planter! Lots of various and sundry folks in between but have good matches after countless hours.

All of the earlies through my mothers fathers grandmothers side were German/Dutch who came for Religious and I am certain land contract purposes.
