My case status shows "ABOUT TO CLOSE" pLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS

I have a question. I am in a 36 month chapter 13 plan. I looked up my information on my Trustees website today, as I do each month to be sure this months payment was received.I have been on time with all payments, and am in month 15 of 36. Today it showed that my payment was received, however the case status shows "ABOUT TO CLOSE". Until this month, it always showed case status"ACTIVE".Does anyone know what this means. I have not received any letters from my attorney, or the courts, and pacer shows nothing either.I don't know what "ABOUT TO CLOSE "means.Balance on hand is within 28.00 of paying my fees, etc.Would this mean anything, or should I prepar for a motion to dismiss,,(For what reason, I wouldn't know. Haven't been notified. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you filed with a lawyer, then please call him/her and find out what's up.

If you are showing as that close to paying off all your creditors that filed claims, it's possible that you've reached the 100% mark earlier than anticipated. The trustee can't force you to keep on paying if everyone that filed claims has received 100% their money owed and there's no creditor left to pay. If many of your creditors didn't file claims, that's one possibility.

Again, your lawyer is your best source of information about your case. Good luck - hope it's good news!

I had the same message....but with my case, it was because a couple of creditors had not filed claims.......you have to go at least 36 months. what happened the creditors that were supposed to receive 20% are now gonna receive 48%. I think in a couple of weeks you will see "active" again

More than likely, it is a mistake on the NDC website, however, if not, you might get out early. Could be creditors did not file claims. If they didn't file claims, they are SOL. Good luck with it.
