    No more payments

    Hello.
My coworker told me last week I do not have to pay my MasterCard account here in the United States. He said here I can do bankruptcy and not pay. Is he right?

No one here can give you a reliable answer to your question without more information. Are you living in the US now or outside the US? If you are outside the US, which country are you in? Are you now a permanent resident there or do you plan to come back to the US at some point, even to visit? Are you the sole person responsible for the credit card?

The US and several foreign countries have an agreement on how to handle debts between the countries that the debtor wishes to discharge through bankruptcy in the US courts - it's called Chapter 15. Here's a link that explains it in more detail - http://www.uscourts.gov/bankruptcyco...chapter15.html .
