How long do restrictions apply for?

    Hi,

I was wondering how long declaration of bankruptcy impedes the ability to secure a normal lifestyle everybody else takes for granted. It is hard to start from nothing, even harder when finance isn't available. I'd be interested to know what the legal statutes are in different nations as well as peoples experiences that are purely based on discrimination.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

To help answer some of your questions:

    1. People normally bounce back from bankruptcy in 2 years where there credit gets reestablished and they can once again buy a home/auto at a reasonable interest rate.

    2. As to the policies a procedures in other nations........ that none of us here on this forum would be able to answer for you. They have different forms, procedures and limitations. I'm sure each Nation would be different in their protocal.

    3. Bankrutpcy has no color or race...... it touches everyone and the courts treat everyone the same. You get the same breaks, and take the same losses when you file. I don't believe any bankruptcy form ask what race you are.......

    Hope this helps

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Andrew, I deleted the link to your webpage from your signature because it's against our forum rules to show these links without prior permission from our forum administrator, Lazar. I also deleted your email signature because it's not a good idea to post your personal email address in a public forum like this one.

I see you are from Australia besides. Our forum is based on US consumer bankruptcy practices only, so any information you receive won't be applicable in Australia.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
