Ok, stupid question. I keep seeing references to "pacer". It appears to be somewhere you can view the status of your BK? Or am I wrong? And if it is, how do I access that?

Check out the PACER frequently asked questions at http://www.bkforum.com/newreply.php?...reply&p=114084 - most of your questions will be answered here. Also check out the What Is PACER? sticky here in the forum at http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=1011
If you still have questions, come back and ask - we'll do our best to answer them for you.
Remember that PACER is not meant for us Ch 7 and Ch 13 filers - it's used by our bk lawyers, our creditors' lawyers, trustees, and judges. The legal language in the documents is very difficult to understand unless you've done a lot of homework about bankruptcy or you are lucky enough to have a lawyer in your family
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
