Our plan was confirmed in August and for whatever reason, I am behind on payments for two automobiles. My back payments for my house were included in the bankruptcy, but nothing having to do with the automobiles was included. Can I request modification and have the payments for the cars included and change the payments? Is this even possible?

To answer your question, yes, it is possible to amend your plan after it is confirmed. However, your lawyer is not going to be anxious to do so unless something long-term changed in your income or expenses. Also he/she may charge you extra to amend the plan at this point.Originally posted by iwillriseabove View PostCan I request modification and have the payments for the cars included and change the payments? Just wondering....why did your lawyer decide not to include your car payments but did include your mortgage payment in your plan?
I'm concerned because you are struggling to make your payments just two months after filing. Do you truly have enough income to support the plan or did you have an unexpected emergency pop up?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
