    14 days to go

Hello, folks, thanks for all of your help. My objection deadline for creditors to file an objection is only 14 days away. I have not heard a peep from my lawyer about any creditors threatening with any adversary actions. He has not notified me of anything regarding any creditor inquries at all. I do however have a few very high risk charges. These include recent cash advances slightly outside the 70 day window. Do you think I would of heard some feedback from my lawyer by now only (14 days to go)?
I was thinking that since creditors probably attempt to settle out of court first, that they know they need to give ample time for their lawyers to reach some sort of agreement with the debtor or the debtors lawyer. Any thought on this? Thanks for all of your help.

I was in the same situation as you, yesterday was the last day for objections and nothing happened! I think you would have known something by now, I honestly think that 99% of the time its not worth it for them, they just write it off at the end of the year...we panicked everyday and nothing happened...relax I think your fine!

IHN, we all failed our crystal ball and ESP tests . There's no way any of us can tell you with any certainty what's going to happen in your case.

Fretting about a possible objection won't change a thing. Either your creditors will file an objection or they won't. If one creditor does file an objection, your lawyer will deal with it.

Worst case scenario - you'll owe that one creditor and the rest of your non-secured debt will be discharged. Gotta keep things in perspective. We had three objections (one creditor and two from our trustee) to our Ch 13 case and in the end everything turned out fine. Odds are the same will happen for you.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

      06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
      06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
      07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
      09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
      08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

      10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go
