Sorry for all the posts. I am always transfering from one card to another to avoid the phone calls. I have 2 credit cards that are around 500.00 each a month and cant pay that additional amount, so i transfer them 2 to 2 other ones in the amount of 500 each. I know this isnt good and i need to try to pay everyone for the next 3 months, so hopefully i wont have objections, but what do you do when there just isnt enough money to go around. Thanks alot again....Planning a 13..

If you are going to file, then don't pay. Turn the ringer off your phone and wait until you can file. I know the fear of the dreaded phone call, but at least if you know you are going to file, then you know that it won't last that long. Good luck.

Yeah I would not pay and deal with the calls it would be at least a few months before they really do anything and all of that would have to go through the court system which takes time!

YOu might go 6 months with no big issues besides calls then file if they do take you to court!

Why wait before filing? If you can't cover your debt, the other poster are correct, quit paying the credit cards now. I don't see any reason for a creditor to object. The longer you wait, the higher the debt goes, with accrued interest and late fee's. This would be extra to pay back, if you were deemed able to pay 100% back. Not as much of an issue if less than 100% payback. But the quicker you file, the quicker the calls and letters will stop.

We went through the same thing. All you are doing is increasing your debt and putting yourself through hell as we did. Have you retained an attorney? If you have, the attorney would have advised you to stop paying all your debt immediately and not to use the cards anymore. If you have not yet seen an attorney (I have not read any of your other postings), make an appointment and see one ASAP. When you stop paying those bills, you will have extra money on hand until you file and start making Plan payments. But do not stop making your phone, electric or mortgage payments.
