Suddenly not as afraid of the 341 meeting

Unfortunately, I broke my leg in a freak accident on Thursday and had to have surgery on Saturday. I'm actually still in a rehab hospital until next Thursday, so I'm out on short term disability till the end of March. I'm kind of hoping wheeling into the 341 in the wheel chair will make the trustee more friendly. We probably haven't had anything to worry about all along, but I feel better knowing that when he asks us if our financial situation has changed since filing date the answer is YES, but that we make less money, not more.

The break is unfortunate and painful and it sucks to be away from my family and my poor husband is basically acting as a single father for the time being, but it's temporary and at least it doesn't complicate the bk case.

Thank goodness for small favors, right? At least I haven't been obsessing about the Ch 7 for the last week- sorta had other things to worry about!

Oh wow- that sucks! I hope that you are feeling better soon- I know how tough it is when mom is out of commission.

I broke my ankle and had to have surgery about a year before we filed - it was one of the final straws that forced us into Ch 13.

You will have all kinds of questions after your surgery and while you recover - this website is just as supportive for answering questions and giving you a place to vent as this forum is for bankruptcy.
