    Stupid question, but....

..is a credit/chargeback considered a payment? Example: One day I go shopping for something at Walmart, and charge the purchase. Whatever I bought turns out to be a piece of crap, and I return it for a full refund. Amount gets credited back on my credit card.
My credit card website/statement shows the original purchase, and under payments/credits it shows the credit from Walmart. Will this credit count as a payment or do I still have to make a payment towards the balance before the Walmart purchase?

You still need to make at least your minimum payment to your Walmart account. The purchase and return of purchase/credit chargeback doesn't count when it comes to your revolving credit obligations to them, since it was no real "payment" from you.
