trying to dispute a charge off

Hi, I have a charge off only on Experian which I have been disputing for the past 2 years now its with Sam Club. I have called them and they said there were going to take off the charge off since it was never late and say discharged in bk. I even sent them a copy from the court nothing has worked. It says Does anyone have a dispute letter regarding a charge off?

Did the charge off occur prior to your filing? If it did, they will not remove it. If not, redispute it through Experian, send Certified mail and copy the President of whoever operates the Sam's Club charge via Certified Mail. You can easily search for their corporate office and obtain the home address of the corporation. Enclose a copy of your discharge, a copy of your creditor matrix (you can black out other creditors on the matrix) showing Sam's Club was included in the BK, and demand an explanation why the account is being listed as a Charge Off and not as being discharged in BK. If your other two credit reports are showing it correctly, send a copy of that page with other listings blackened out as proof that it is being reported correctly by the other two credit reporting agencies.

Sometimes it just takes a while to get the CRAs straightened out. We have been fighting with many things since our discharge in 8/06 so I totally understand your frustration.
