If the law passes Congress http://www.azcentral.com/realestate/...ousing-17.html (very doubtful) and if you qualify, you'll need your trustee's prior permission to take advantage of the plan. And keep in mind that any change in your financial picture could shift your Ch 13 payment upward due to a decrease in your monthly house payment creating more disposable income.
