how to relax and let go, and to move on?

as you can see from my nick here, im killing myself due to experiences with bankruptcy-
    how do i cope this

all i worry about and talk about, think about and blame is b/c of the experience.

my sister ruined me to lead this way and she doesnt talk to me anymore. she acts like both of us dont know each other.

anyhow ...now i wonder how nxt yr tax return will be... what new things are to face, etc.

We all prior to filing go through extreme emotional nightmares; some of us handle it well, some of us fall apart. Just know it is totally normal because it is the unknown and we have never been in that place before and, of course, we don't want to be there. I am a strong woman but I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown just prior to our actual filing because it was just so overwhelming and the company I was working for (I worked in the CEO's office), had just lost many accounts due to those companies filing bankruptcy so our company was not getting paid. It was awful - our company filed for BK just after my husband and I filed our Chapter 13. If it wasn't for friends and family and the support net we had at that time, I don't know how I would have handled it all. I pulled myself together, went and got another job as quickly as I could (although paying $6,000 a year less), went to our 341 prior to starting the new job, had our Plan revised due to the reduction in income and it all worked out.

It all eventually comes together and things fall into place. If you do not have any close friends or family that you can actually talk to about what is going on in your life right now, online forums such as this are a fabulous help not only for support but for experiences and information, or, if you can, join a club in your area that does something you are interested in (i.e., bowling, walking, running, volunteer work, etc.) to help get your mind off all the financial stuff.

This is not an easy time for you but one that will pass by. It will still affect you for years to come in many ways so be prepared for that. Hopefully you will be able to work things out with your sister and maybe you and she can have some good talks about the entire situation which will benefit both of you.

Ugh, I'm right there with you. I think the worst part of it is trying to carry on as if all is normal at work... the pressure I'm feeling makes me a little snappier than normal and I find myself overreacting to little things I'm hoping to feel some relief once I've actually filed (although I know waiting for my 341 and then for discharge will bring a whole NEW batch of worry).

You are definitely not alone. I hope your sister comes around and you two are able to patch things up. Good luck to you.

2muchstress, unlike many other forums I will guarantee you one thing, "WE ALL BEEN THERE". Trust me when I say that!!!

Wanna talk about stress? I ended up in the hospital thinking I was having a heart condition last year at this time. Taken by ambulance - the whole 9-yards. So yes, we all have been there.

Here are some things that helped me a ton.
          1. This forum!!! A lot of 1st class people in here who have walked in your shoes. Listen to them and get your Q&A. You will even find some close friends as I have.
          2. Once you file you will feel more relaxed knowing the law is on your side stopping those calls.
          3. Seize the day! Go for a run, go for walks, do stuff you used to like doing when you were a kid.

You will get through this. All stress will do is make people dislike you, you dislike them, cause heart attacks and give you gray hair so why bother!!!

          Good luck!

Stress before making this decision was awful. Once we made our decision, things got easier, if that's possible.

Still waiting to file, (stimulus check we are keeping it and spending it), but I know once we file, I will have an even bigger sense of relief, and once we go pass out 341, another sense of relief and once we are discharged, I AM GOING DANCING!! WITH A BIG BOTTLE OF BUBBLY!!

You will be fine, just hang in there!
