Median Income Question

Does anyone know when the median income limit rises?? I hope i asked the question correct.. i was wondering if it was every year or every couple years.

I honestly am not sure how often they change them or what they base them on.

They just changed around the first of the year. I remember people posting on it because there were odd instances where certain states didn't go up or barely went up for a single filer yet went up a decent amount for households with more than one.

Looking back the last two years, the median income tables were revised every 6-8 months, but this year the median incomes have already changed on February 1, then changed again on March 17...bottom line is that it's not predictable.

And there's never a predictable pattern on whether the median income goes up, stays the same, or even goes down slightly from state to state when the new levels are announced.
