A challenge for the brightest among you! Check this out..

I've heard that when you go thru a bk, all your credit cards get wiped out, even credit cards where you have 0 balances and perfect payment histories. Is this true?

Would I be able to go thru a ch 7 bk and keep one of my business credit cards if I kept it at a low balance, always paid the balance due and never had any lates on it?

    Thanks

Any credit card to which your social security number is tied, if it is not included in your BK filing and has a zero balance, will more than likely not survive your filing. The ones that usually survive are small department store or specialty store credit cards not tied to a major issuing bank (i.e., Citibank, Chase, WFNNB, etc.). Mastercards, Visas, etc. hardly ever survive. While you may read of the occasional card that does survive on here, the majority do not. Don't count on it.
