At the 341 hearings does the trustee usually ask questions of both the husband and wife, or does he/she just pick one or the other? Trying to be prepared and prepare DH. Thanks.

Does trustee question both husband and wife

If its a joint filing, you both must go to the 341 and you will both go up to the trustees table at the same time.
Some questions you both will be required to answer, i.e. "did you read the petition before signing?" etc. But for specific questions, generally, which ever spouse is more knowledgeable can answer.

In my 341 all questions I heard were directed at both husband and wife and the trustee looked back and forth between them to see who would answer. 99.9% were ones where he expected both to answer yes or no. "did you both read the bk papers? did you both file your last 4 years taxes?" etc.May 2008: Filed Chapter 13
Jan 2010: Plan Amended and Confirmed! finally plan funds = total funds due!
Jul 2013: 5 years done! Trustee set to discharge! Woo hoooo!
