Creditors to include?

A few weeks ago my daughter had to get 14 stitches in her foot and later was in the hospital for 2 nights for IV antibiotics. Given that we're in the middle of filing (we'll have the atty paid next week), can we include the dr/hospital bills in our petition?

Also, many months ago we had to have my car towed. The tow company was going to bill the mechanic and the mechanic bill us. Never happend. Wondering if we should include mechanic and/or tow company as a creditor - just in case.

What about an old daycare? I debate just paying ($200) and including. Didn't pay at the time because when we moved baby, we had to pay two weeks up front at new center. Thought eventually I could get caught back up on old. So far hasn't happened.

Yes, include the daughter's doctors and hospital bills. On the car, check with your insurance company and see if they might have been billed for the tow, otherwise I would include that too. Same with the daycare. If you think you owe something, include it in the list.

If you have not filed yet, you may have to delay filing until any insurance you have covers whatever portions of the hospital and doctor bills for your daughter. That can take a while. Most car insurance companies have towing included in your car insurance (usually like $50 or $100 for each towing service due to a breakdown). Have you checked if you have that coverage and, if so, did the insurance company send you a check or a check to the towing business? Talk to your attorney about the daycare - you are supposed to advise him/her of all debt that you have. Did you have a deposit at the former daycare that could have been utilized toward the $200?

I would list it all anyway. If it is paid by insurance then they just won't file a claim. If they do file a claim and you KNOW they were already paid, then object to the claim. But I would list absolutely every itty bitty thing. My list was about 82 creditors and some were for like 2.00 charges. I left no stone unturned.
