    Starbucks

    Ok, for Liz417.

Have you ever been to a Starbucks?

Me, I have never been to Starbucks, although I drink at least a half gallon of coffee a day. I have recently discovered flavored liquid creamers though, and am hooked. I buy SF french vanilla and hazelnut. Because they still have a few calories, I drink about 3/4 of my coffee black, saving the creamers for when I have time to sit down and really enjoy it. I was just going to start a poll post for Starbucks just for Liz.

      Great minds.......

I have never even been IN a Starbucks and I live in an urban area. Did you know that FL and CA have the most Starbucks stores?

          I go to SB's at least 3 times a week. It's a 4 blocks from my house.

There are loads of SB's here, including drive thru's.

If I am somewhere that doesn't have a SB's near me, I will venture to Coffee Bean.

I'm boycotting Starbucks, well at least trying to real hard. The coffees are average at best and overpriced. I like to get the cheapie stuff at Chevron or AM/PM. It tastes as good as Starbucks for 1/3 the price. Certainly not the best coffee around, but it's pretty good and fairly cheap. They only come in hot though.

We don't have one close, matter of fact the closest one is 45 miles away. However we tried it last winter and it was ok.

I drink coffee all day long, mostly coffee I make. I do buy coffee at local cash stations, mostly Shells, sometimes cappuccino, sometimes iced. In the winter I am a coffee addict, summertime I just drink it in the morning, then it's onto brewed iced tea.

I visit Starbucks once in a while, but I actually prefer the coffee I make myself, or Dunkin Donuts coffee. There are still a few DD shops around here that make it fresh all day long, instead of keeping it in a large urn. I think fresh DD coffee is to die for!

I have heard tons of people commenting on DD coffee. I think I'm gonna have to find a DD so I can try it out. Oh, but it's so hard to skip the donut!

It's all in the mind. Go in focusing on the coffee and don't look anywhere else!

                          Hi Liz:

I have been in Starbucks, two or three times in Gainesville and once in Galveston. Interestingly enough, while I like coffee and usually have a couple cups in the morning, once I have those I'm done with coffee. The usual beverage of the day is Coca-Cola. ['T'would help our finances if I cut those...]

When I've been in the SBs, I've had hot tea, not coffee. I've been more intersted in trying the tea blends.

Now some of our local food stores stock Starbuck coffee and I have had that now and again. They are pretty good, but I don't perceive any real difference between their blends and some of the other companies. Now, any specialty coffee blends are purchased on a BOGOF basis.

But Starbucks is having its own financial problems; about 2 months or so ago, I remember hearing that they are closing about half their stores.....

I drink about 15 cups per day so Starbucks and I do not get along very well. I enjoy one occasionally, maybe two or three times a year, but for the quantity that I drink, I could never afford to get my fix there on a regular basis. I have my own business and I have contracted with a coffee service that actually supplies pretty good coffee - and only costs me about 5 cents per cup.

I have often said that if I am ever told that I can not drink coffee anymore, the next call will go to the undertaker to start digging the hole because the old ticker will just gradually slow down until it stops. I am pretty well convinced that the caffeine stimulation is the only thing that keeps my heart pounding.

They sell DD coffee beans at your local grocer. I haven't tried it yet....
