co signer for apartment

Hi, does anyone know if my sister co signs on an apartment for me, will that show up on her credit report along with my bad credit? I also dont want to hold her back on future purchases and my rent show up on her report. Thanks,

I've never heard of rent payments showing up on a credit report, unless you don't pay the rent and the landlord gets a judgement against you for the rent owed? Anyone else ever hear of it showing up on a credit report?

Also curious as to the language as to what the co-signer of the apartment is signing to, that they will pay the rent if you don't?

Yes, if i dont pay, then they can hold her responsible for it.

It will only show on her credit report if you fail to pay it and she doesn't either. As long as its paid, then no reporting.
