    Auto Loan Question

    Hi Guys I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, But I figured I'd try. I have a car loan through Sovereign Bank, The attorney for my chpt7 told me I needed an account statement basically showing what I owe and how long I owe. Well anyway I call them up and they tell me that they can give me a payoff amount... I said I didn't need that I needed as I said above an account statement time to go and how much left to pay. They give me this huge line about how it is going to cost me 20/hour to research the account and that it would take 10 -14 working days to complete!!!! Am I out of line thinking that they should just be able to print out a statement and mail it to me????? Reasearch what? I don't get it. To top it off the lady told me that if I couldn't wait that I should just go back to my dealer and ask for this stuff from him!!!! Anybody else deal with these jokers at Sovereign Bank ?

    No can't say that i have. can you see anything on line? I got all my info for my filing from on line statements. if the loan is up to date right now it should not be a problem.

      Maybe you should call back and speak to someone else.

      Some people just don't understand what your asking, or may have never been asked that question before. I have experienced this type of thing on numerous occassions.

            I will be filed as soon as I get these last few things back to the attorney... He is very particular and wants everything that the trustee can and even might ask for....
            As far as not getting statements.....I have a payment book for the car...so I don't get anything in the mail from them unless I happen to go beyond the 10 day grace period on a payment and that just basically says 'pay up sucker' or something like that. I think I will call back again today and chat with someone else. oh well
