    how is unemplyment income treated?

Curious for both chapters. Thought DH's benefits would be up this month, however we found out he will still get them for another 6 months from the 6 weeks that he worked for the comp that i work for. We fail on median income for prior 6 mos due to an annual bonus i recevied. With his u/e benefits that puts us over the median, but we still pass step 2 of the means test for chap 7. Just wondering how an atty / trustee would treat the u/e income, especially if for some reason we had to go C13.

Unemployment is taxable income. In fact, when you apply you are asked whether or not you want taxes withheld.
