canceling BK filing

Can you cancel your fililing if at anytime you feel that you may not get discharged? Then file later on.

I guess the question is when is the latest you can cancel your BK petition?

It is hard to get it dismissed voluntarily.

However if you don't show up for your 341 meeting it will be dismissed usually. Other than that it's very hard to get dismissed.

Also remember that once you actually file even if you later dismiss it, that Chapter 7 filing is on your credit reports for 10 years and is public record always.
