    WTH Please help . . .

My lawer's secretary or who ever puts the papers to file together hasn't filled this out properly. It has already been filed. We have to go to court in 2 weeks. Can they correct this in time? My DH didn't catch the mistakes and I've been too busy with school to deal with this headache otherwise I would have had it taken care of weeks ago.

Have you called your attorney and discussed the situation with him/her yet? If not, please call today and advise them you believe there are errors in your filing paperwork.

At the same time, I think you need to take some personal responsibility and not entirely blame your lawyer. After all, the lawyer is not you, he/she isn't living your life. If you didn't read it before you signed it....hmmmm

In any event, to answer your question, a BK petition can be amended (i.e. changed) at any time before discharge for any reason.

Note, the 341 meeting is NOT court. It is a conference with the BK trustee.

Yes they can change it. Mine had quite a few and they had no problems.

Me too. HHm remembers how upset I was with my Attorney. Since this forum, I must say, she did a fairly decent job. Still not happy with her lack of information to us, but I caused her a day of work and a hearing to fire her at the very end of my about to be discharge. I feel I owe her at least a dinner out for that if I could afford it. 'Hub
