    Please help - I'm desperate

I'm currently unemployed. I was a mortgage loan officer that did very well. However, not so good at money management. Maybe because I was raised to have everything I wanted, when I wanted it. My family is well off. Anyways, how is having bad credit going to effect me in getting a new job? I have a job in the works and am concerned they may turn me away do to my credit. The position is a Financial Sales Consultant inside a bank. PPPPPLLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE help me. I have been searching for a job for 7 weeks! My debts are calling me and I'm telling them I'm unemployed, can;t pay and am waiting on a job!

I just did a looooong response yesterday on here to a similar posting (someone's hubby did not get a job due to, they believe, the discharged Chapter 7 on his credit reports). Do a search on here and you will find quite a bit on employment and bankruptcy.

Well, I'd first calm down and think on the more positive side of getting the job.

Yes, they "Could" turn you down due to your finances. If they do give chance to explain, be honest and let them know that you're working on arranging a "Re-payment" plan (Yes, Ch 7 is one type of "Payback") and that it will not interfere with your working ability.

In the long run, you're bound to get a job, but don't be stressing out yourself so that you appear over anxious at an interview...Calm and cool...Ice cube...freezer pop....
