Creditor Matrix

While I have not decided for sure to file Pro Se, my wife and I are debating on whether we should to save lawyer costs. In the event that we do, I have a question regarding the creditor matrix.

My wife and I both have credit cards with the same creditor and we also have multiple mortgages with the same company. Do we list the creditor multiple times for each account or do we list the creditor just once? Thanks.

In the creditor's matrix, you need to put "re: xxxx" for the account number with the last 4 digits of the acct number. So, we just put the same creditor in multiple times for different account numbers. This won't affect you, since the court mails out the notices and notifies the larger creditors electronically.

I sent my creditor matrix with multiple duplicates (as I had multiple AMEX accounts and others).

I later de-duped it when I had to send out 64+ envelopes when I had to serve papers on all creditors. This was for my initial Plan and it cost $1 per envelope!!!

I got it down to 44.

In any event, my case manager sometimes sends out notices through the BNC (Bankruptcy Noticing Center) and I don't have to serve every single creditor (when all creditors must be notified).

However, recently, she didn't do so, and I had to send out 44 notices for a change of address.
