bank finally filed for relief

got the packet in the mail yesterday saying that bank has filed for relief of stay. we are currently in a 13, converting to a 7.

What happens next? How long before the notice is posted on my door? who does that anyhow?

Bottom line is that you have about 180 days between the time the lender starts foreclosure proceedings and when you have to be out of the house if you don't do something to prolong the process. You can extend this time if you contest the foreclosure action in court, you seek a postponement or delay of the sale, or file bankruptcy.
