Average length of discharge

My 341 was on 1-29-09 and according to PACER, Im like 2 weeks past my 60 day mark, which was 3-29-09.

Im in the Eastern District of Michigan. I know they are so backlogged, esp. with this economy and the like, so Im not complaining!!

How much longer should I wait before I query the bk Court Clerk or my lawyer?

In some courts if you have a lawyer, if you call the court yourself, you'll just be referred back to your lawyer. If I were you, I would start by asking your lawyer to contact the court and request a status update on your case.

If your lawyer says to contact the court clerk yourself to get an update on your case, then you can tell the court clerk that your lawyer asked you to call.

If your lawyer doesn't respond within a reasonable time (as you said, bk lawyers have no problem getting plenty of business these days), then call the court yourself and politely ask the bk court clerk what the status of your case is. Nothing to lose in this case (although they could still kick you back to your lawyer....this will depend on how strict the court is).
