That's an easy question. Do not apply for credit unless/until you actually need it. Temper that with, it's always good to have a single credit card, or two, for emergencies.

I don't know the circumstances under which you went through Bankruptcy, but remember how you got there.

I will apply for one and pay it off each month. It will not be Capital one. They sued me.
