My husband was laid off from his job of 18 years and we were behind in our payments. I kept pestering our attorney with this information and what we should do. Of course, nothing was done until we received the Motion to Dismiss our Chapter 13 from the court. Our attorney did a Motion to Forgive Arrears to the tune of $6,150.00 and the judge signed it on July 31st! Didn't even extend our plan by three months. We are so excited to have a bit of good happen. We now have to remain current beginning this month which will not be a problem. This now means our creditors will only be receiving about 1%!

Thanks guys. It really was good news. The only real stressful part was getting our attorney to respond. I told her for four months we were having problems as DH was only working two weeks on and two weeks off before finally being laid off. Now that we have a stable income from him again, payments won't be a problem.
