Seriously, I've been on other boards that have them.

There are a few posters here that I would love to be able to ignore because all they do is cause trouble, talk down to people, and in general have nothing positive to add to the forum. This is not directed at anyone specifically, just a trend I've noticed going around lately.

Hi Bass
ignore button is childish, my guess she is toggling it on and off, she is reading it.

Even still, she may or may not reply. Can you and she let this go? Neither of you can prove what you claim and both of you can argue into you're blue in the face.

You'd think this would be the one place out of all the forums in the world were we would be supportive of each other and not flame or bash! I guess not...

I don't think you would find many to disprove what I have said. It is pretty factual, I don't think anyone wants to call her on it. She heckled me like crazy on a issue, back at her. Take a calculator and tell me how much equity is built in three years at 10% interest.

She doesn't ever make sense, uses profanity on me as her best defense. I will haunt her and call her on every stupid thing she says. This forum is about sharing ideas, hers just happen not to be real well thought out.

NASCAR, I've seen people flame and bash each other relentlessly on terminal cancer support forums - how much worse could it get???

For a few online bashers in forums like ours, it's the overwhelming stress that causes them to go over the edge on occasion. Bashing people online is safe because we don't know each other and there can't be any real retaliation or meaningful consequences. Being banned just means making up another username and coming back for more.

However, for the relentless bashers who never have positive things to say or who pick targets and can't let go no matter how ridiculously over the top things get, to me that's a symptom of a major character flaw - needing to be right and win the argument no matter what the cost.

Too many people these days feel that winning no matter what the cost while simultaneously doing their level best to smash the 'enemy' to smithereens is the only option. Sad that what's been lost in many of our important relationships today is the ability to focus our energies on what really matters in the long run. Instant gratification appears to be the winning strategy of the day....sigh. Too bad - this way everyone loses eventually. (My personal thoughts - ymmv...)

That's why I am using the ignore feature now. There is no reason for me to be brought down by someone elses insecurities. I can't get mad if I can't read it. I appologize to the members of this board for letting two posters get under my skin so bad. I've been here a while and I feel I have a lot to offer the posters here in both knowledge and support without putting anyone down.

So, back at her you say? Well, if it's childish of her to use her ignore feature, then would it be fair to say you're being childish for attempting to give her a taste of her own medicine? You're stooping to a lower level here.

She doesn't ever make sense, uses profanity on me as her best defense. I will haunt her and call her on every stupid thing she says. This forum is about sharing ideas, hers just happen not to be real well thought out.
I have to ask why do you care so much about this one member? So what if she says (types) certain things about you. You (and her as well) need to be more mature about this and not stoop to such low levels. Are we not adults here?

Just an FYI-

I was stalked and harassed on the Internet for two years by a woman who didn't like "my thoughts or ideas." She served jail time for it, and now has a felony on her record.

You can and will be charged for Internet stalking and harassment.
