I couldn't use my regular domain name in the forum. Everyone is pretty savvy and would know my name right away. Everyone acts like networksolutions is some great secret when they find out how to research a domain name but now most know how simple it is. Even with private registration you can't hide the main contact name.

Nice trip. Reconfirms my love for Colorado, and those southern mountain states. I haven't been in those mountain states since I was a little girl.

                Rob,

Those are fantastic pictures. You have a lovely family. I especially enjoyed the sunset shots over the lake. Truly gorgeous country. I used to travel Knoxville, Nashville and across 40 through Cookeville. Some of the most beautiful parts of our great country. I am glad you had such a great vacation!!!

Gosh, Robivi!! This all takes me back to soooooooooo many memories.

We used to camp in the Smoky Mtns when I was a kid. Smokemont. Then over by Cherokee, NC.

Hubby and I did a "Get Away" weekend once when the kids were little. Dropped them off at Mammaw and Pappaw's, then Hubby and I headed down to Gatlinburg for 3 days. We rented a Chalet up outa town. I remember that ski lift. I would NOT get on it!!

Sis used to live outside Nashville. We'd load up 5 tottlers, 3.5 years apart in age, and run day trips in. I remember visiting some museum. Something to do with the history of Tennessee. Then we had a picnic lunch on the lawn of the Parthenon.

                      Great memories!! Better days!!

Anon, WELL worth it. It will be one of the most enjoyable days of your life. It is something that costs, but you don't get these things often in life. I went over a "bill" for a trip that one man left in his journal in the early 1800's Tennessee area on display in the State Museum. It was darned expensive to travel then. It wasn't a camp out freebie then, you could get killed or robbed, you had to have money! I imagine the same was true even in ancient times!

Just read Micheners "the Source", man, they even had stone tablet passports stating what a vendor was allowed to buy and sell in town (he might be from an occupied area and you couldn't let him purchase weapons or weapons grade material even then!).
