    Applying for Amex after BK

    If I had a non-bank, non affiliate Amex which got declared in a bakruptcy which is now discharged, is it possible to get an Amex again? How long does Amex usually keep you blacklisted? Thanks

    American Express is known to deny bk'ers until it falls off your cr. Try in 7 years.

      Well, not exactly seven years any more. Equifax is off already (six years). Trans Union has one year to go. I've done a search to see whom Amex pulls and saw that it's mostly Equifax -- where I'm in the clear already -- but I don't want to take a chance, so I'll probably wait out the last year.

        ^^^ Thats not correct depends on which AMEX brand ur going for cause I have seen where they pull ALOT of TransUnion as well.

        But I thought once u declare on AMEX they black list u FORVER....

            Someone who didnt have an AMEX but had a BK needed to get on as an authorized user on his boses Corp acct it took a alot of work/headache for the boss to finally get allowed to use him as an authorize user because dude was black listed.
