What about my Pacer bill? Can I list this as one of my Creditors??

Gee ya know my Pacer bill is so high I'd like to include it as one of my creditors and have it charged off in my BK 7?? What do ya think? Do you think the Trustee would go for that?
Sorry couldn't help myself.I needed a good laugh.

      ROFL!!! Hilarious!

It reminds me of the time my attorney told me that he had actually had to include his own fees in a couple of his client's BK's and had them discharged Oh, but not mine, of course!

Pacer would use your cc - which you would write off. So no, pacer by itself isn't a creditor.

Not if you never paid the bill to begin with...

If you're posting on this Forum, and you haven't filed yet, you shouldn't be using a CC to pay your PACER bill.

That was WAY too funny, Donna!!

But the ultimate irony would definitely be putting the attorney bill on your cc and having that cc discharged! That would be the ultimate pre-bk planning. LOL

I thought of one that would even be better--paying for your BK court fees with a credit card (not that they would ever accept that.)

When we went to sign our petition the other day, I could not look at a magazine or book or anything while we waited. I just couldn't. I stared idely off into space at one thing and another in the reception area.

Then my eyes focused on a sign on the receptionist's desk, and I thought to myself, "How ironic!"

The sign said "We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover," etc.

A BK attny that takes CC payments.

funny. since ur supposed to cease credit usage b4 bk - i think it would fall into the realm of 'fraud' if u use a cc, at the time u intend to write it off. No lawyer would allow that.

It's probably there in case u wish for a family member or friend to pay for it.
