Authorized User on a CC that was discharged

I have a question regarding being an AU.

A family member as offered to add me to their CC account as an AU.

The CC company was one that was included in my BK7. When discharged, the account only had a few hundred dollars, was never late, always current, and I believe the CC company is not BK friendly (GE Capital Retail Bank).

Can they deny the request to add me as an AU on their account?

    Thanks

I don't believe they will deny you. I had a card IIB that I had never even used but they denied me credit when I tried a few years later. A family member got the card for me and added me as an AU no problem.

I am sure they can deny the request if they want. But, in my experience, the credit card company asks for no information other than the AU's name. They don't run a credit check.

GE Capital is BK friendly, by the way, if you are at least 6 mos. post-discharge.
