Annie Is EMPLOYED!!!!

FINALLY got an offer yesterday - not my dream job, and less than I was making before, but a full time position with a reputable company - I start on Tuesday! I didn't even ask about benefits, just inquired if there was any "wiggle room" with the offered salary (no) and said YES, I will take it.

I told them flat out I'd filed for bankruptcy (when I had to sign the background check papers) and this company said it would probably not factor into their decision - the background and reference check were what counted. I went for the drug test the same day as my interviews so I knew I'd be good to go as long as the BK truly would not be part of their decision.

A paycheck...I am going to have a paycheck again.....what GREAT thing!

Congrads Annie, so for people that filled, do you sugguest we are upfront with them, when they ask for a backround check or was it a Credit Check? Credit Check is different than a backround...BK Filling should not show up on Backround checks, if I am correct

FYI: If a background check checks Public Records, your BK filing shows up there in the court records.
