    insurance?

Our chpt 7 should be discharged in about 2 weeks. Just received notice foreclosure is complete. We vacated house 2 weeks ago and notified lender, Fifth Third Bank. Received copy of letter today from Fifth Third to our insurance company asking them to add coverage for "vandalism and malicious mischief during this period of vacancy. If any additiional or renewal premiums are due, you may forward the bill to the payer listed on your billing records with a copy to the insured at the mailing address below. If coverage cannot be provided, the appropriate notification and any unearned premiums should be sent to Fifth Third Bank."

Does this mean Fifth Third is now paying the insurance, or do they expect us to continue to cover a surrendered home?

I don't know what they expect, but you're done with the house. The foreclosure is complete, you're out and you're free. The letter just shows how mired they are in bureaucracy. Forget it and enjoy your future without that mess!

1.) Never tell everything you know.

yes, after you vacated you are no longer required to keep the insurance. the bank forclosing usually does what is called an umbrella policy. so you are fine. actually, in our state, no insurance company would cover a vacated house in foreclosure.

      best of luck!!!
