CNN or the "clinton news network" is propaganda for the left.

Yes I agree Fox news is the mouthpiece for the right.

Sean Hannity on FOX sounds like Rush Limbaugh passing gas.

He sure does. You missed my point. CNN is just as bad.

There is no unbiased news on television.

FOX leans right with most of their commentaries, the exceptions being Greg Gutfield and Alan Colmes.

CNN leans left with most of their commentaries, the exception being Glenn Beck.

MSNBC leans hard left with no exceptions.

The great presidents of the past we have had, most likely would never have been elected in the current media climate we have.

As someone above said stop accepting what they tell you. Go and read for yourselves on these people, and then pray about it because without some sort of higher guidance its going to be hard to weed through fact and fiction.

Be sure to take time to read about the other candidates, the ones the mainstream media never mention. In fact they could be our last best hope.

Actually the real screw up was in the voters who elected in the primaries Obama and McCain. Clearly neither man is qualified in the areas the country most needs help in. The sad part is they also chose running mates who were not qualified in the area the country is most troubled, financial.

Richardson or Clinton would have been a better choice than Obama. Indeed a Clinton-Richardson ticket probably could have beat any R match up. Obama has the thinnest record of any presidential candidate in over 100 years. Even thinner than John F. Kennedy.

Economically on the R side Romney, Paul and Thompson would have all been better choices. To many wanted to dismiss Romney due to religious prejudice. To many wanted to dismiss Paul because he told it like it was and no one wanted to hear. To many wanted to dismiss Thompson because of his age and being an actor.

Of the choices presented in most states neither the Democratic nor the Republican ticket is the best ticket for the economic crisis we face. The better tickets are the Constitution party and Libertarian Party candidates. Both of whom have more economic experience than either of the D or R or the Greens. Sadly due to election laws they will not be on the ticket in all 50 states though the Libertarians will be in 44 states I think and challenging 5 others and the Constitution party has write in states for 30+ states. They could win mathematically even though it would be improbable given the bias the general public has against third parties.

If McCain wins, I would like to see Romney in a cabinet post to clean up the economy.

Funny how the Republican propaganda machine (Fox) always brings up Obama's friendship with Ayrers, but no one ever brings up McCain's ties to Tom Keating, the biggest crook in the 1980s savings and loans fiasco.
By the way - Sarah Palin by now has to be suffering from heat strokes. She left the relatively cold of Alaska to hang around in sizzling summer temperatures.

Liddy called for the murder of federal agents, served time in jail, plotted murder - and after that, John McCain applauded him and took his money.

                    http://www.oliverwillis.com/2008/10/...-gordon-liddy/

And some replys to above column:

"What about McCain’s meeting with ex-terrorists Menachem Begin, who bombed the King David Hotel and Yitzhak Shamir, who ordered the assassination of the UN representative?

And how about those nun-killing, school-bombing Contras? McCain gave of his own personal cash while they were engaged in deliberate targeting of civilians for the purpose of instilling fear in the general population. That would be long for ‘terrorists’.

This discussion is serving McCain’s purposes — getting us to talk about anything other than the economy where he is utterly at sea.

But if he wants to play that game, fine. His trouble with Charles Keating is fair game. And G. Gordon Liddy? Unlike Obama, who served on two non-profit boards with Ayers (remember, the Annenbergs were friends of Ronald Reagan), and for whom Ayers hosted a small get-to-know-the-candidate gathering and and donated $200 in 1996, John McCain is in bed with Liddy.

                    G. Gordon Liddy is an “old friend” of John McCain’s. McCain said he was proud of Liddy. He planned murders though wasn’t able to execute them. He recommended killing federal agents.

To me, McCain’s association with Liddy is far more damning than even Keating — and Ayers is nothing compared to either.

Of course, it would be best to just get back to the issues we care about. Economy anyone?"

US lawmaker slams McCain camp for stoking hatred

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Democratic lawmaker John Lewis on Saturday said Republican White House contender John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin were "sowing the seeds of hatred and division" with incendiary rhetoric against rival Barack Obama.

"As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Senator McCain and (Alaska) Governor Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all," Lewis said in a statement on Politico.com a day after McCain tried to tone down his campaign's attacks against his rival.

Lewis, a US civil rights icon, said the Republicans "are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse."

He suggested the attacks on Obama were reminiscent of the late segregationist Alabama governor and presidential candidate George Wallace, whose fiery rhetoric in 1963 was blamed for a church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama, that killed four little girls.

"What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history," Lewis said.

"George Wallace never threw a bomb, he never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights.

"Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama."

McCain on Friday called on his backers to tone it down, after crowds at his rallies have become increasing inflammatory, shouting out "terrorist" and "liar" when Obama is mentioned. At one Florida rally, someone even shouted "kill him."

The Arizona senator said Lewis statement "represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale."

He said Lewis' comparison between criticism of Obama's record and Wallace's segregationist policies "unacceptable and has no place in this campaign."

McCain called on Obama "to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election."

Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said, in turn, that while the Illinois senator "does not believe" in the comparison, "Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked."

Burton also called Palin's recent derisive comment -- "palling around with terrorists" -- about Obama's relation with 1960s radical Bill Ayers "baseless and profoundly irresponsible."

As I mentioned before she probably suffered heat strokes whenever she left Alaska's cold weather and came into sizzling hot summer weather. Strokes have a long term effect.

On April 3rd this year, investigative reporter, Wayne Madsen (waynemadsenreport.com), highlighted a secret document detailing the sequence of events leading to martial law and a possible war. Madsen's report said:

'WMR has learned from knowledgeable sources within the US financial community that an alarming confidential and limited distribution document is circulating among senior members of Congress and their senior staff members that is warning of a bleak future for the United States if it does not quickly get its financial house in order. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is among those who have reportedly read the document.

The document is being called the "C & R" document because it reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. "Conflict" is the "C word" in the document.

The other scenario is that the federal government will be forced to drastically raise taxes in order to pay off debts to foreign countries to the point that the American people will react with a popular revolution against the government. "Revolution" is the document's "R word.

I'm not convinced Pelosi will have her seat after this election.

The truth is though for long term strength of our nation we must get our financial situation in order. We cannot continue business as usual which is what really sickened me about the bailout package. It was fat with pork and despite mantras of change neither Obama nor McCain stood up to it. At that moment every American should have opened their eyes and seen that that political rhetoric was just that, it is not a sincere desire to bring meaningful change it is only a sincere desire to deceive the American people enough to get elected.

If we cannot get our finances in order, what we are experiencing today is nothing as we will experience in the 2030s. By that point we will not be able to meet the entitlement obligations for the baby boomers. The financial load alone of social security, medicare and medicaid will bankrupt the nation before any other spending.

The thing about taxes is that no matter what you charge the revenue stream remains nearly the same constant percentage of GDP. The higher the tax the lower the GDP, the lower the tax the higher the GDP. Thus higher taxes will not solve the problem but will only make it worse.

The fundamental is that we have to understand as citizens that we have to be self reliant the government cannot provide everything for us. While it might seem unfair this will mean some citizens will have to do without. The only way to fix the United States financial situation is to first reign in government at all levels. The Federal Government should lead the way. The 111th Congress when it convenes should immediately work upon a balanced budget, and include all spending in said budget. To do that would mean around 30% universal cut in all budgeting items. To do this we need men and women who are more interested in our Nation than in their own political careers. What they do will not be popular, but it is necessary.

I am terribly worried for Obama. My husband works in a gun store and he says that people have been buying up guns left and right because they are all saying that when Obama is elected, all hell is going to break loose. He comes home everyday with stories of crazy people that hate Obama and wouldn't mind if he wasn't around any longer.
