Frustration isn't near what I feel right now. We finally made it thru chapt 13...we've got a payment plan for 60 months. Because we have only one old car with 240,000 miles on it, our lawyer told us to file immediately for approval to purchase another car. We live where there are no cab service or bus service -- and riding a bike is not an option. Well, after finding the car we wanted, with very low mileage and a price that's awesome, our lawyer sat on our request for 3 weeks. By the time we got approval the bank had closed down! The dealership has been patient but point out they could have sold the car by now (it's been a month) and want us to push the attorney. We have been approved for a loan for another bank but the interest rate is more and we'll have to pay $30.00 more. I've put in a 3 calls to the attorney's office and haven't gotten anywhere! I don't know what to do! any ideas? I hate to be a pain in the neck with the attorney but in looking around, the only cars we can get for less dollars will have 70,000 plus miles on them! This one has 18,000.

I felt your pain last month. We found a really good deal on a vehicle, but had to wait on the lawyer (and the notice to the creditors required for trustee approval). The vehicle sold 1 week before we got approval. The dealer wouldn't hold it for us.
I was devastated. But, as often happens, it turned out to be a good thing. I got the same exact vehicle from another dealer, for around 1500 less, and because it was Nissan Certified, I have a 7 yr 100m Powertrain warranty rather than the standard 5/50K Powertrain warranty. I also have roadside assistance for the same term.
Hang in there........things WILL work out. Dont' give up. Shop the internet, there are a lot of good deals out there.
Good luck! You can't have your cake and eat it too. But you can dip your finger in the bowl and lick the icing
