We haven't filed yet but I have a question. We are letting our house go and blah blah blah... We went and talked to a realtor today about renting a property and he was telling me that Citi is now giving mortgages to folks newly out of BK. Less than the standard 2-4 year rule. He is also a mtg broker, but I didn't ask a lot of questions cuz I haven't even filed yet. I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this? i am assuming not FHA and probably conventional with 20% down? Not sure if he knows what he is talking about?

That does not sound right, unless Citi is keeping the mortgages (portfolio) and not selling them to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

I doubt this have you seen Citi's stock? They can't keep anything they have to sell stuff to make money. I would not trust this informationComment
