My BK 13 just closed last week.
4 months ago.....I obtained a Bank of America card about 4 months ago -- prior to the discharge. It was unsecured for $500. I pay it about 4 times a month and have yet to pay any fee or interest.
Tonight I checked my fico and it was 699 with EFX. I went to AMEX and checked my pre approved offers. Keep in mind, I've never received any offers but just typed in basic info.
I was pre approved for 3 cards with 2 of them credit cards and the other a Platinum charge card. Ironically , not the Gold which is cheaper. I decided to go to the Platinum due to some of the perks I'd actually use + I don't want a "credit card" other than the $500 card from B of A. I don't plan on carrying balance but only playing the game.
