    Saving some money...

So being the idiot that I am at times, we went ahead and put a few last minute things on my credit cards expecting to get monetary gifts to pay it off. We didn't quite get as much, so now we get to pay down some credit cards.

So what I did, is I transferred two of the cards over to a much lower interest rate one. (Of course I wasn't paying attention when I pulled out the plastic... stupid me...) So now I can lower payments that way, but still get this thing paid off. (Hopefully before Christmas!)

I also went ahead this week and refied my car. This month marks the one year point, and I thought I'd see what I could do to lower my interest rate. Sure enough! Went through Lending Tree, and RoadLoans gave me the best deal. They are saving me 5% on my interest rate, and nearly $100 a month. (More money to pay down those cards!)

So all in all, it's been a good week for making financial decisions in my house. And total, I am looking to save myself right around $150 a month.... not too shabby!
BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

      Good job!

I did the same thing this week. I changed our phone service and cut some of the "fluff" from our cable service for a total savings of $85 per month.

I'm working on it... most of what's left after the CC get paid off is going straight into savings.

I will not get back into a situation where I have to file bankruptcy again. Especially getting married (again!). I can't let another person do that to me! What if something were to happen to him to? I can't pay his debt and mine!

So we are both working as hard and as fast as we can to get our debts paid off, and start saving. We want to have kids (and be able to afford it!) someday!
