    My Score Progress...

So here I am, 7 months post discharge. I've cancelled 4 of the 8 new credit lines opened post bk (household, orchard, target, & juniper) only keeping chase/circuit city, hooters, capital one, & my new jfcu (credit union) visa. Out of the 4 remaining cards, only one has any fees (capital one $19 annually) and all have limits $500 and up.

My scores are now 673-656-614 Equifax-Transunion-Experian, Median score now 648.

I did charge up $2,500 on my 7500 limit jfcu visa platinum, buying things for my new place. Hoping to pay it off within the next couple months (next year's tax return at the LATEST) and watch that median score scoot over 650!

A little bit of fun to pay off later won't hurt you!

Have fun with the new stuff!

And congrats on the scores going up... that's what we all want to see!

Yeah I think I did pretty well, after all, that $2,500 included: a car, new computer with digital camera & photo printer, new refrigerator, new tv, new clothes, new bicycle, lots of groceries & more!

Sounds like you got a good deal on a bunch of stuff!

I would love to have a new couch and sofa, but our critters would destroy them....

Yeah I don't have new furniture either, but why waste the $ on it? Talk about losing 80% of an items value once you get it home...

            Good point.
But finding used stuff in good condition is VERY hard to do....

once in a great while a second hand store will have a nice article or two, but they always have the price jacked up because they know they can charge more for it!

i can't even start the process of bk. I got bunch of accts on my cr that still show balances. And disputing so far has been fruitless.
