Paypal - GE with no fee 6 months after discharge?

I filed CH7 last September and was discharged and closed 3-1-06.
Orchard gave me an unsecured card with a $300 limit and $39 annual fee.
I've used my paypal account for several years now.
Today I received an email from them about being preapproved for their mastercard through GE Bank.
I applied and was approved through email for a $2,000 credit line with no annual fees or any other fees.
This one looks like they will give it to me because they allow me to use the account immediately before the card arrives.
I'll keep you posted to see if they follow through.

Sounds great! GE bank is bk friendly, although I've been declined by them a couple times.

GE Bank blacklists you if you included them in your bankruptcy. Personal experience.

Phew! Glad we didn't include them.

GE backs one of our store LOC's. It had a zero balance so I'm hoping that one survives the BK.

I have one of those paypal cards. I totally forgot about that since it's more like a debit card---there's only money on it if I've sold something on eBay and use it like a check.

Paypal has 2 different cards. This one is a regular mastercard.

I've never had anything from GE before. The only credit card I owed money to when I filed was citibank. I've still gotten declined for wal-mart, paypal, and anything else through ge.

Please explain. I had a PayPal Buyer credit account, not a mastercard, through PayPal and I included them on my BK. I think they are also backed by GE bank.

If you included your Paypal buyer credit account in your bankruptcy to be discharged, more than likely you will never get another one with them.......... Most companies that you file against will never issue you a new credit card or credit with them.......

GE Bank closed 3 of my accounts that had 0 balances, after my discharge. We included a personal loan with them. They closed my Exxon, Lowes, Walmart credit cards.

Since you included the loan with them in your BK, they closed all your accounts with them, whether $0 balances or not.........

Sorry, but that's what they do usually.......

Well I've never had a Walmart card or Pay credit card and they both turned me down and my chapter 7 discharged 2-22-06. Only cards i have is 1st premier and orchard ban just approved me for the $300.00 limit card. I was approved for Crown Jewelers online but i'm not going to activate it. Waiting to see if Target will approve me.

I just got a pre-approved offer for JCPenney from GEMB. It hit the trash.
