    Credit Score and late payment

I was recently discharged from my Ch. 13 BK. and have started cleaning up my credit reports. My question is....will a deliquincy of 90 days or more that was reported 11/2002. Is it worth my time to dispute it and want it verified with the creditor if it is 4 yrs old. Is it still affecting my credit score?

Strictly speaking, that info can be reported for up to 7 years.

However, it is worth disputing because the creditor might not verify and then it will drop off.

I have already disputed it with the CRA and it came back the information was verified. So I guess the next step is the write the CC company (capital one) and ask them to show me their documentation of the late payments. I have heard that alot of CC companies do not keep that information after 2 yrs so it may be worth a shot.
