    It's working!

Well, ya'll inspired me to start cleaning up my credit!

I pulled all three reports and submitted 7 disputes with TransUnion. In less than a week - 5 accounts have been removed (they weren't mine, I was only AU), and 2 accounts that were mine, but reporting incorrectly, have been removed from my TU report and my TU FICO jumped 65 points!!!!

Now, I just gotta watch and make sure they don't get re-inserted!

We won't be applying for credit anytime soon - but probably would like to get a loan for a used car in about two years (I'll never buy new again).

    Thanks BKForum!

I am surprised it happened so fast, good for you. Usually the CRA will not remove the entry until after the 30 day period for the creditors to verify the account.

    Excellent work.

I know, I was blown away too! I know I should have disputed these by mail, and I probably will do the rest by mail, but I was so anxious to get started, I did it online.

I did it online late Sunday night and they were updated today!

I'm sure the rest won't be so easy, but I this gives me hope and the strength to move forward because I do see that there is recovery after BK!

That's the same that happened to me, my CB's cleared up within a week only my TU credit score didn't move as much as experian and equifax.

Good job. I'm getting ready next week (payday on friday) to buy myself some new credit reports and scores.

I have had several items update on EX - score didn't move AT ALL! Don't understand how that can be, but I'll deal with that later. I haven't even stared with EQ, however, for some reason EQ score has gone up about 40 points all on it's own. I think it's because a couple of OC have updated to IBB.

I'm taking it one CRA at a time - it's overwhelming because there are so many accounts, spread over 3 CRA's and I'm doing mine and my husbands - so it's all X2!

          Eeeeek!

            I'm glad you mentioned this!
I just did TU and EQ through the mail last week.
Experian I did on line and they fixed it in less than 12 hours!
